We Are Not Alone!
I am not a therapist and not yet a certified life coach. I am, however, a survivor of abuse and I have been divorced twice. I am also childless, and I struggle with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I have learned first-hand what it is like to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who is significantly different than most of the ladies I sit next to in Relief Society. I often feel different, awkward, and my comments are always a little left of center compared to those who were raised in the Church or live in great marriages. NOPE, my experience was very different and still is. Joining the Church didn't automatically make my mental health issues go away or make my trauma automatically heal. Learning to live a Christ-centered life when my childhood taught me to fear authority hasn't made the gospel any easier to live. Thus, my repentance process always seems a lot more time-consuming and exhaustive.

Pinecone Clark stands apart from therapy as it provides peer support in a safe, membership-only, online community. In this community, discussion topics are shared including “Come Follow Me” and General Conference talks in a way that pertains specifically to our unique viewpoints as survivors and warriors. In development are journals, courses, eBooks, and more. These courses and eBooks will cover smaller topics including budgeting, cooking, returning to work, navigating dating again, dealing with physical loneliness (chastity), living alone again, time management, and more. Larger topics like setting boundaries, deciding whether to or not to end a marriage, what it's like to cancel a temple sealing and deciding whether to or not to, as well as how to navigate life after divorce are in discussion and in courses. Also coming are individual coaching sessions.
I would and will always recommend to anyone who participates with Pinecone Clark that they seek help from trained and credentialed therapists and psychiatrists to work through crisis and work through the mental health issues that may to occur with the experiences of women who have been abused and/or divorced.
Pinecone Clark stands apart from the rest by providing a safe space for a woman who has experienced the hardships of abuse and/or divorce and gives her tools to learn and grow financially, emotionally, and spiritually, all with Christ as the center driving force to the growth.
